Colby's First Steps

Sorry no pics. But we are so excited Colby has started taking steps here and there. He is still trying to figure it all out. We are looking forward to him walking but we are not rushing it. Kendall started walking right around 9 months and Colby, well.... he is 13 months. I know boys don't catch on as fast but we are ready for him to start walking now. Russ has been off since the 19th and he is off until the 5th. I am loving him being around ALL the time. We are catching up on some family time before he starts traveling again. I just love this time of year, spending time with friends and family is the best feeling ever. We are truly blessed to have the family and friends that we do. Anyway, off to bed now. I will try to catch Colby in the act next time.

PB & J (Panke, Bean & Jones that is)

Sunday night we had our annual gift exchange for the kiddos. It was a blast. It is so much fun to see the kids play together. Kendall and Makenna pretty much play together and now Colby and Carra can play together. We had a very filling dinner (steak, baked potato, salad and corn on the cob). Then we let the kids open their presents from each other. We actually got all 4 kids to sit together for a second to get a picture. I can't believe we actually got a picture of ALL 4 of them. As I said it was only for a second so we had to be quick.

This is gonna be T-R-O-U-B-L-E for the future

The girls are growing up sooo fast

Carra was not wanting to be with the big girls
Well we tried but Carra was too fast for us

Santa

Well we a fun filled weekend. I love the Holiday Season, there are so many fun things to do with the kiddos. Saturday mom and I went X-mas shopping while daddy stayed home with the kids (he is such a great dad and husband, I am so lucky!), then we went to Teresa's house for a cookie exchange and secret santa party and got home around 12:15 a.m. that was ALOT of fun. I think next year I may have one. Then Sunday, Russ shot guns with his friends while I watched the kids. We left the house around 4 to go see Santa. Kendall was so excited on the way there but was very hesitent went we got there as you can see in the pics. She did warm up to Santa and then even gave him a BIG hug. We were so proud of her and Colby well he is ALWAYS happy so it wasn't too hard for him. After the visit to Santa we went to a musical at First Coast Christian Center. It was a very good production. Thanks for the invite Mindy. The kids did a great job! The only pics we took were of Santa but we still have ALOT of events to attend so I will keep the pics coming.

1st set of Christmas Cookies

Over the past few years we ( my mom and I) have started a tradition with Kendall of making Christmas cookies a few different times around the holidays. I saw a cute way of dressing up already made cookies so I figured Kendall and I would try them out. It was so much fun. The older she gets the more fun it becomes. I however am not Betty Crocker therefore I cheat. My mom is the one who makes "homemade" cookies. Colby loved watching us so of course Russ had to snap a shot of him. Hope you enjoy the pics and I will keep them coming.

My Lil' helper

Kendall was sooo proud of herself yesterday. She cleaned her playroom "all by HERSELF" as she would say then she broke out the vaccum cleaner and started vaccuming. I think I have a lil' helper now (yeah right). I told her now that I know she knows how to do it by herself she has to keep her room clean, she said "mommy, that was only one time, I do need your help still". All we could do is laugh at her. She was so cute, I had to post the pics.

Christmas pics

Well, we tried to take our own Family Christmas pics. It was quite comical to say the least. I have added some of them for your viewing pleasure. We are going to use one of them for our Christmas cards but i did not post that picture. ou will have to wait to get your Christmas card, ha,ha.. We tried to put Colby and Kendall and their Christmas stockings... that was funny. Kendall tried walking in it but only fell down and Colby was just too cute. We also put them in a wrapped box but they would not cooperate.

Kendall trying to play with Colby and Olivia. She tries so hard to be a lil' momma to All of the babies. But i think in the pic Colby didn't want Olivia to get his toy. Sorry Olivia.

Birthday Overview

Colby turned one on Saturday November 29, 2008. It was a very exciting time for us. I can't believe my lil' man is 1. He is growing up sooo fast. We had a small party for him with just family and a few of our closest friends. Colby's Aunt Deebie made his cake and I do have to say she did a GREAT job. Thanks Debbie! The other kids including Kendall enjoyed helping him open his presents. As you can see he got his 1st four wheeler (that's kinda a tradition we have started with the kids). He loves it. A few nights later Uncle Paul, Aunt Kristen and Olivia came by to visit. Uncle Paul put Olivia on the 4-wheeler with Colby. She liked it as well. I know what Olivia's getting for her 1st b-day. All in all it was a great time.
